    Bald crop?

My silkie’s crop is pretty big & bald. Is that normal? She’s acting fine, even though the pic might look otherwise 😂

Thank you. Is this what I need? She’ll be a week old tomorrow. Do you think it’s too late for her?

    Chick walking on hocks

My chick is walking on its hocks. It’s like her feet (which are huge!) will not support her. Thoughts?

Can a chicken be possessive of a human?

Yes, I know she’s either blue or lavender. Her little ear holes are blue. Would that be a sign as to blue or lavender? nevermind, I just went to google & it says all silkies have blue ears. Learned something new!

    Molting or Pecking?

this is my first time raising chickens. I have a polish frizzle that I’ve noticed is losing feathers on the top of his head. Every once in a while I will see another chicken peck at him, but not a lot. Is this the result of being pecked on or is he molting? He doesn’t look to be losing feathers...

Chick wants to be held constantly

Long story short, I have ended up with an 8 week old Silkie. I have 13 3 month old chickens who are full grown. The silkie is tiny, too little to be set free with the others, so it stays in a crate in the run & coop with them. But y’all, this baby wants to be held any time I let it out. It is...
