About them being expensive, You can grow meal worms from now until eternity with just a bag of corn meal. Pour it into the dirt the meal worms are in and they'll multiply like crazy. -

oh no I gave my baby (~5 weeks) half an avocado 2 days ago back when I thought it was a goose and someone said anything green is good. He seems fine but now I'm worried. Does it creep up and suddenly take him down without warning, or if he seems fine now will be ok? -

Not yet. I will soon though. I have to know what to do ahead of time when Downy can get out of the bathtub. I let him out when I'm here; it's just when I'm gone that I'm worried about once he can jump the tub wall. -

I got waterfowl starter feed and he loved it. I plan on keeping about 1/3rd of his diet veggie table scraps. He also liked his cooked brown rice yesterday and tomatoes and apples. From all the poop I would say he's eating; I'll just keep it coming. -

I feel pretty dumb b/c I don't even know what grit is. The bird seed it has now has some very little things in it, seeds I guess. But I'll definitely going to the pet store tomorrow and ask for what you said and also some grit.
