    Sweetest Duck Contest

This is my absolute sweetheart Bundtcake 💕 Bundcake is roughly 7 months old now and doesn't live with her flock, and instead in my home with me and my cat. She was two days late to hatch compared to her siblings, got stuck in her shell, and didn't absorb her yolk all the way. We were terrified...

DIY turtle basking decor + cave!

HELLO FRIENDS! I have quite the manejerie of animals on my hands but I wanted to introduce you all to my turtle who I have had the pleasure of caring for for the past seven years. He is a Pelomedusa Subrufa, or an African Helmeted Turtle (part of the sideneck family). I love him to pieces and...

    New Member Needs Help

What was the earring made of besides pearl? I had a duckling take a sterling silver earring out of my ear and swallow it just to see a day later she had shiny poops!

    Duckling melodrama

I know exactly how you feel! My outside ducks throw tantrums that sound like something got into their enclosure until I run out and they all look at me like "YOU GOT MEALWORMS MAMMA???" and my little indoor waddler begs for watermelon CONSTANTLY when she sees me open the fridge. They're smart...

    Baby chicks won’t stop chirping

I don't know if this will work for you but it worked for my ducklings; you can try putting a stuffed animal in their enclosure that is of similar size or bigger. I bought specific baby stuffed animals and they tend to wash up easier and some are waterproofed for easy wipe-up if pooped on.

    Questions for Muscovy duckling!

My smaller brown one (Mocha) bolts but is also INCREDIBLY snuggly - so snuggly in fact she stole my earring because I got so comfy with her (thank goodness it was pure sterling silver and got ground up in her crop with no poisoning). Bundt is also very snuggly but timid, the larger brown (Dot)...

    Questions for Muscovy duckling!

Thank you! She spooked me a few times in the beginning, but she perked right up and is thriving! She matches up with my similar sized female almost perfectly (who is exactly 1 day older), but the bigger ones still puzzle me? I have pictures of them all from about two weeks ago. Not the best...

    Questions for Muscovy duckling!

I had read somewhere that males are more hissy sounding and females kind of warble/coo. I know they're not that old yet but that's all I heard from everyone else i had asked/Google besides caruncles growth/size. It took a lot of snuggles and constant warmth and monitoring but she did make it...

    Questions for Muscovy duckling!

Hello! Awhile ago I hatched four beautiful Muscovy ducklings - sadly three of them bullied my late hatcher born with her yolk and she imprinted on me hard enough to not want to be with her other duckling friends (I totally understand, I don't like feather pluckers either). She's healthy and kept...

    Muscovy duckling questions!

I will be sure to keep updating on them! I was so shocked to have hatched 4 out of 6 eggs from everything I read about how finicky they are in incubation. I think all four are girls but I could be wrong; when I first tried to sex them I thought I sexed the yellow and brown as male but I have yet...

    Muscovy duckling questions!

I have a lot of pictures and video of them! She is eating very well, though because she is so small the others tend to accidentally push her around and squish her at the feeding bowl - I've been making sure she gets her helping of wheatgrass clippings and their usual feed. I've been slowly...

    Muscovy duckling questions!

Hello! So I am incredibly new at this and hatched 4 Muscovy ducks myself in an incubator. I've always wanted ducks and since I live alone, now was my time to try it out! My first question: I had a late hatcher, she (assumed sex) hatched on day 38 and needed help getting out of her egg. She did...
