Whenever it needs it. I probably do a more thorough cleaning/inspection once a month since I've experienced having northern fowl mites a couple of years ago, which was such an ordeal. I eventually figured out how to knock them out, but that experience has me on the lookout for any pests like that!

I have had chickens for about 2.5 years now.
Currently, I am a proud papa to 2 red sex links and a guineafowl (all layers). I also have 2 adorable dwarf goats that are, for the majority of times, good neighbors to my chickens :D.
