    My Texas A&M quail have slow grown after 4 weeks, at week 8-9 they are about 12-13 oz, which is 1 oz less then their parents on average. I think it's most likely the cold slow them down.

    Troubleshoot my chicks:

    The cheap plastic incubator is very hard to set the temp right, they might be off by a lot. Insulating it may help, epically in winter the room may be colder. If you put a pc fanin the little giant, you will do much better.

    Also, you will get some weak chicks if there are not enough air flow during last 3 days of incubation. Still air incubator will more likely give you weak chicks.

    I think it could because of the bad hatching condition so you start with weak chicks. Some of the weak chicks will have feet and neck problems, some will die with no reason. Did the chicks hatched in 16-18 days? How is the humidity level during incubating?
