    Ugh, yes, we had the same experience. We had some long term antibiotic treatments, salt spray treatments, uv treatment. We never had positive results apart from alamycin spray.     This really looks like a condition I've seen previously. A topical alamycin spray has appeared to cure it for us in the past, but once we stopped treatment it did eventuality come back. We tried a lot of other treatments under veterinary advice and nothing else ever made much difference. The...

    Is sense of smell strong?

    Glad I could help! I removed the gravel from mine and went for deep litter woodshavings. It's very damp where I live and I found that it was hard to keep the smell down with gravel. A flock of hens produces a whole lot more mess than one hawk or falcon!
