    Phew... Been having a rough go of it. Within 4 days I've found out about the deaths of two dear friends. I've never had friends die before, I have gone through family dying a few times but this is very different. I keep bouncing between feeling things sharply and not feeling anything. Bleeehhhh...

    I had a dream I found a lost pullet in my yard... And then another, and another, and another, and a rooster, and a turkey poult, and another chicken, and another... Before I knew it, I had about 20 chickens. I woke up sweating and stressed because I didn't know what to do with them all :gig

    (If you get Wyandottes from a hatchery there's a good chance they could have a straight comb, like Gytha).

    Wyandottes (are supposed to) have a rose comb. Not sure about wattles, my two have wattles on the small side but I've seen Wyandotte wattles with some real swing to them 🤣

    Yup, I'm aware. I put that together pretty early on, when she first started doing it. It's funny, it sounds almost exactly like when they lay an egg and call for an escort, but there's definitely more urgency to it. I love learning all of the different sounds they make and why!
