Actually, that fine sand isn't too safe for human chickies either. They can inhale it and have respiratory issues just like chickens can. We were told, back when my now 33-year-old was in preschool, to stick with the heavier builder's sand for children's sandboxes.
I give up! I will NEVER catch up on reading these pages! I am cheating and skipping right to today's postings.
I LOVE all the chick pictures! While I like the silkies, I can never tell by picture which end is the head, so I am glad to see other types of chicks, too.
Yikes! A total shoulder replacement! Glad the surgery was a success! I hope her recovery is as smooth and pain-free as possible. And don't worry about your chicken prayer flags. I can hang onto them as long as needed. Although you might want to hang them across your DW's room to cheer her...
Kab - I am so very sorry to hear about your cousin. What a terrible thing to happen, and at such a young age! My sympathies are with you and your family.

Peaceful Walls...
Gunchief - Cock-a-doodle-do to you, too! Good morning, all!
Peaceful Walls - I hope that your mother is doing better. I have been keeping her in my thoughts. How wise you were to install that buzzer and how fortunate you hadn't left home yet.
Your egg hide-and-seek sounds like a good way...
SallyinIndiana - Glad to hear you adopted a rescue kitty! There are far too many cats and dogs out there in need of rescue. Our local pound now has chickens that have been turned in as well!
Wow! FINALLY caught up! This is one chatty thread! I like it that way, though. It feels like a caring community. CORRECTION: It IS a caring community!
