    month 8 weeks it was for me. Black sunflower any thing higher in protien will help. Black sunflower seed should not be more than 10 or 15 percent of daily diet, high in fat also.

    aside if its -5 degrees windchill -40 having them inside a building out of drafts and wind it will be -5. The point is to keep them out of the wind and drafts.

    I have chickens in barn. Barn is 120 years old, but good shape. Yes the chickens do fine. Rooster may get some frostbite on comb. You may see bit other frostbite. They will be okay.     when placing egg on incubator does it count as day 1 ?

    Takes a day for the egg to get to temperature. Some incubators may vary due to temperature. Warmer cooler spots etc

    There is alot of information in the meat section. Some people have cost analysis. Also alot of information using google. Using google I found information on google some of it was kinda all over the place with pricing. Use seach function in BYD lots of information.

    thats my vote. Something climbed in and took the bird. Coons can be very patient, crafty, climb, dig, pull, undo locks. Missing heads , Lots of vitamins in heads another trait of a coon.
