    Bumpy egg

Found this interesting egg this morning. My girls have only been laying for like 2 weeks so I know different eggs are normal. Just wanted to share ☺️ Just super excited that 4 of the six have finally started laying! Also one of my girls lays these speckled like eggs 😍

Coccidiosis! Blood all in the coop! *GRAPHIC!

They haven’t eaten any berries but I was surprised with how bright it was and by the amount too. I checked all combs and bodies and not a single drop of blood on any of them. Everyone is acting totally normal. They are only 17 weeks old so no one has started laying yet at first was concerned...

Are Golden Comets normally a friendly breed?

I have six 9 week old comets and this thread makes me so excited,! They are definitely very sweet and they are even friendly to my crazy loud 4 year old. They will be roosting on their coop and he’ll run up to them and they will stay still and let him pet them and even let him kiss their heads...

    Integrating new chickens

I don’t have any advice but I’m curious what they say. I have six 9 week old pullets that mostly free range and I’ve got six 2 week old in the brooder now and it just dawned on me reading your post that feeding is gonna be challenging once the babes can come out.

    Feed Question

So would it be better to just keep them on the starter?

    Feed Question

We are raising Cornish Crosses they are 4 weeks old. We are feeding them Scratch and Peck chick starter. We want to keep them on organic feed but it’s difficult trying to find organic broiler feed in smaller quantities that doesn’t cost an arm and leg. My 8 week old pullets are eating scratch...
