Hi Tania888, what did this end up being. My hen has similar growths but the vet doesn't know what it is! Tried antibiotics as it is suspected to be an infection but it didn't stop the growth.

Hen with strange growth on leg, yellow scabs then going black.

Thank you so much for your help Amy Jane! I really appreciate it. The yellow is quite dry not like human pus, is that right? Would it be OK to use Betadine for humans on her? There's quite a bit on her lame foot, should I do one foot at a time? Thank you, yes she's a tough old thing.

Need advice with injured quail toe

Thanks for that info. I gently moved the toe back to straight position but I think she was in pain so I left it and it has gone back to the 90degree position. She is walking around with out limping so I assume and hope she is ok with it like that.

    Quail Treats and Eats!

I recently got 8 young quails and put them in an aviary where there was feverfew growing, now the plant is a "skeleton". Such a strong tasting plant but they love it.

Need advice with injured quail toe

Many thanks for the advice, she seems to be walking around on it fine but I will watch her to make sure she isn't being picked on.

The joint where it is bent is a bit swollen, other than that she (I think) is walking around fine. I would like advice on...
