    Yes your coop/run is way too small, always over build I built mine myself got everything but the wood for it off an auction site saved a ton of money that way, I also find most chicken coop designs aren’t that great I worked off plans for a shed that I modified was much better space and cleaning...

    was able to get her into a vet today they said it’s a extreme wound he’s only seen something like that with dog biting hens. but she’s aleart, eating and he’s optimistic that she’ll be okay in the long run he gave me a bunch of meds And said it’ll probably be about 4 weeks of healing

    hens will sometimes leave the nest to eat drink but if there gone too long it’s a risk to the eggs if your trying to hatch out I wouldn’t give fertile eggs to that hen, I’d do a lock out (block off the hen from the nesting boxes) if you have a large dog crate isolation for a day or two also...
