Pecked in the eye by a chicken??
Sure have, it wasn't fun let me tell you. We ( my barred rock-Spike and I ) were out for a walk around the yard. She loves to sit on my shoulder while I ride on the mower or in this case, walking. She jumps up on my arm and makes her way up to sit. Sometimes facing backwards for reasons unknown...- Tracemiester

Buff Orps. Hen or roo
Hi folks! Thought I'd give an update. Couldn't find the original post. Hen or roo for the one on the left. Both hatched on St. Patricks day. Big red is a hen!!! Woo hoo! We are getting one egg every day from her and only her at this time :-)- Tracemiester

Na... I'll use it to bug my neighbor for a week or so when/if it starts crowing. I'm sick of his loud music and parties at night. Then its time for chicken dinner I suppose. Thanks all! I'm thinkin' roo too, but, this is my first time rasing chickens. A good learning experience none the less.- Tracemiester
