2 Black Copper Marans and an Olive Egger - 6 weeks old

Update: chicks are 9 weeks old. I have new pics of the “girls” with the wattles. One is definitely more red in color, but they really could be all girls, I think?

Egg yolks are really light- whats wrong

They spend all day outside foraging and only go to the coop for bed. The Leghorn eats more dried Grubs that’s the other chickens. (They’re her favorites and my kids are all too happy to oblige.) they don’t appear to be ill, they’re laying normally. We have had a bad infestation of flies that I...

Egg yolks are really light- whats wrong

The breeder told me and I’ll be damned if they don’t all look the exact same I think we can all agree that the one with the non-existent comb is a pullet (#3), so here is a pic of the first two together so the lighting...

2 Black Copper Marans and an Olive Egger - 6 weeks old

Your guess is as good as mine. I thought all three were boys because they were so aggressive, now I think they may all be girls? I have no idea. One seems to be growing in wattles, 2 have copper on their back feathers, all have pale combs. They have massive legs and feet and are all crazy...
