Ok, that is about 1 1/2 hours from me, I know where it's at. When can we meet? I will be out of town tomorrow but can meet you early sunday if you want. I have a truck and some big crates so I can take as many as you can bring.

Hey neighbor!!! We need to get together for a visit... I live in Somerset off 80 toward Nancy. I take my excess chickens down to some really great folks in burnside. The son always has to stop on the way back home to get a peanut butter marshmallow milkshake from that little burger...

I don't know where Burnside is but I've always got birds for sale! Currently I've got a straight-combed EE pullet and a couple BR girls (and their roo ) that need new homes, plus some OEG that I'll probably be letting go if they ever quit sitting on eggs!
It's in Pulaski Co. close...

We did the same. But, it is still incredibly exciting when your own chicks lay for the first time.
When they first start laying are the eggs really small?
Hi, I'm new to the forum and live in Burnside Ky. I bought my first chickens in March of this year and I'm in love. I currently have 15 and I'm always looking for more hens to add to my flock. Anyone have any for sale close to me? hehe
I can't wait for one of my girls to go broody...
I was told to break up egg shells and feed to my hens to harden their eggs. Is this safe for young hens not laying yet since they shouldn't have oyster shells?
