    Pygmy Ostrich Chick

I will try and get you a picture when I get home. She is still less than half he size of her siblings. Still very 'special' :-) She is a sweet heart. She wants her hug every morning. Never seen anything like her :-)

Is one of the peachicks pied?

Yeah that pretty much is in line what I read. Good chance then momma is split and I'm not aware. The breeder didn't have too much info on history but momma doesn't have any white flight feathers as are common in splits. As days go by, it's quite appearent the chick will have a lot of white on...

Well I appreciate the honesty and the effort :yuckyuck So peacock is already split to white, Momma is not. What does that produce?

Is one of the peachicks pied?

Hatched two peachicks. Both parents are IB and not pied. One of the chicks looks pied. White wings and a lot of blonde. The other one does not. Any thoughts on if it's pied or not?

    Amend soil?

I have an older chicken coop and pen. Haven't used it in a few months. Because of the risk chicken diseases can pose to peafowl, is there anything that can be put on the soil to treat the soil and kill any disease present that anyone may be aware of? I want to use the pen for my peachcicks.
