    What age to the coop?

    Where in NY ? Big differences in temperature between upstate and down state I'm in the Albany area and it has been unseasonably cold lately. My one year old birds don't care but I have some 2 week old Black Austorlorp chicks in the garage. Nights can still get cold in April around here...

    My girls have a habit of "dragging" both sides of the beak on our wooden deck They angle their head to one side and then the other while pulling back and dragging the sides of their beaks on the wood This happen to anyone else ? why do they do it? Tom

    Coop is done... 8 foot x 7 foot 12' x 24' existing dog pen re-purposed for chicken run 6 silver laced Wyandottes, 3 Buff Orpingtons and 3 Rhode Island Reds to start Hinged window covers for the front and back screens The girls seem to like their new home Tom
