    Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. My chicks are a week old now and love to eat and sleep. I am finishing my chicken coop soon when they get too big for the brooder. Still excited about them!

    I just received 13 chicks from Ideal Poultry. 3 Barred Rocks and 10 New Hampshire Reds. They are settled in their brooder and I cannot wait to see them grow! The Barred Rocks are all roos that were shipped to keep the rest warm and I have one NHR roo. These are my first chickens and I am excited...
