They are now outside in the run and they love life and yesterday they put themselves to bed all by themselves. I went to check on them at 6:30 pm and they were all in the coop at less than 4 weeks old! Such good girls.
So the girls are 3 weeks old. They've been in the coop a week and today I took out the divider and gave them the whole coop! Needless to say they loving it, and they are really stretching their wings. Next step is to let them have free run in the big run..
They won't know what to do with...
As I said in my last reply to your question.....There are 2 windows.... One in back 3 x 2 fully operational and one in the door, a drop down plus 2 windows on the sides. Eavs are NOT open. They have vent holes with screen all the way across.
Well if you look closely.... There is a big drop down window in the door, there are drop down windows on each side with screens , there are vent holes completely across the front and back eaves with screen and there is a fully opening 3 x2 window that swings open in the back plus the pop door...
Just an update, the tarp is now on the run and the chicks are now in the coop!! They are loving life right now. I will be checking on them a few times this evening to keep an eye on the temps.. fingers crossed it will stay up for them...
