    Geese laying eggs in winter!

So, woke up this morning and found 5 goose eggs in the barn. Very confused, as I heard geese shouldn’t lay until at least spring? They are particularly young geese, 2 of them, though I’m positive they’re the age to lay. Any ideas on what this could possibly be?

    Gender of goslings?

Hello! Just recently purchased two Embdem goslings (with a bit of Toulouse) and are curious about what sex you think they are. I’m thinking I may have a pair, but I’d like to make sure first. These are my first ever geese!

Paper towels? How come, if you don’t mind me asking unfortunately only the two of them hatched, but I plan on buying some more chicks to add to the brooder soon.

    Barred rock chick

What gender do you think this little one is? It’s only a day old, but I heard you can tell by the dots on their heads and their legs. Sorry for the lighting! I can get better photos if requested.

    Chicks won’t leave the heater?

Thank you for the reply. The room itself is a bit chilly as it’s in the basement. Around 19 Celsius. I’d move them upstairs, but there’s cats and dogs that could easily get at them and I wouldn’t want that to happen. I’ve tried dipping their beaks in the water and tapping food for them, even...

    Chicks won’t leave the heater?

The entire brooder should be that temp? The heat pad is warmed up perfectly fine

    Chicks won’t leave the heater?

So I just hatched two healthy little chicks. I moved them to the brooder last night and they’ve fluffed up a bunch since then, and have been huddled under the heater ever since. It’s been about 10 hours. Should I be concerned? They haven’t come out to eat or drink, and while I know they can...

    Quail Chicks Missing Feathers

I’m not an expert so take this with a grain of salt, but to me it looks like they need more room.
