No bumblefoot, no visible injury or sores. someone suggested a sprain and she would be fine in several days. Also got a few names for a local bird vet.
I have a 3/4 month old duck,Kahki, female, she will not put weight on her foot unless she has to run to get away from something Most of the time, she stands on one foot and then is just laying around so she doesn't' have to stand up i think. I have called around, no vets near me will see a...
She has healed and is back outside, happily pecking and roaming. Praying all goes well for her. Marked her to keep an eye on her for awhile, hoping they all except her back.
Thank you all.
I have a duck, she is about 4 months old, she started limping yesterday and not putting weight on her foot. She will run and walk if she has to but she prefers not to. Today I scooped her up and put her in a cage outside with food and water to rest. Any thoughts. No visible injury or wounds...
SHE LAID AN EGG< SHE LAID AN EGG....its a sure sign she is feeling better. Today I looked and it is almost healed completely. Thank you all for your suggestions and comments. If it wasn't for you I may have put her to rest. Pictures to come later, but we are so happy.
now I have a poor duck...

So the wound is looking good, I will get an updated photo tonight. However, she has started plucking feathers. Not sure if its stress or near her bum area the poop tends to get a bit messy. I think bc her wound interferes with her pooping area internally, where it is located. But all in all...
It does, but not horribly. It looks better than when I discovered it. I did the best I could hopefully without hurting her. Hhhmmm it's tough to explain. It almost looks like at about her tail it ripped backwards. But I'd say a few inches. It's deep at one point then almost looks torn back...
I soaked her and cleaned the area. Poured peroxide on it and then neosporin. I am hopeful today it didn't look so bad to me. I had my daughter take a photo, but photography will not be her profession.
