Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

“Pony” Sunday The goats are getting used to their new home and not as timid around us now. Dancer/GoGo (still deciding on her name). The white one, even jumps on us to beg for treats. Glad they will never be very big. :lau

Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

Some old posts I meant to reply to and never did, plus some recent ones. It’s garden netting for animals. Getting it tight is a chore and has made some the post lean even with anchors and cabling to hold them. The sand we have in our coop we get from a local aggregate plant and they call it...

BYC Member Interview - TX Chick Noob

So sorry for your loss. :hugs Yes, it’s tragic how the production breeds tend to die so young, and usually due to reproductive issues. Mine started dying at just over 2 years old. I lost two last year, and the other three this year.

Thanks y’all! Sadly, between the time I wrote this and now we lost Buffy to Ascites. She was the last of my ISAs. 😢 I did manage to find a few of my old pictures of the llamas guarding the chickens.

Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

No more ISA’s 😢 Hi everyone. I am once again several weeks behind in reading. I know several people have had losses lately, my deepest sympathies to all of you. And now I have also had a loss. Buffy, the last of my five ISA’s passed late Sunday or early Monday. She was 3.5 years old, and has...

Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

Hey y’all! I’m still alive. A month behind on this thread and never seem to find time to catch up. I know I never posted the last update I said I would make. Short version, I lost Crystal, one of my original ISAs, to Ascites. Had drained her a few times to make her more comfortable, but she...

Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

Hey y’all. I’m ok. Most of the chooks are ok. Have had some new egg layers and lost one of my first members of my flock. Life has just been crazy. I’m several weeks behind reading this thread, and always hate posting before I catch up to avoid SHRA Tax. Lol. But promise to try to post a better...

Open Contest Current Contests - Lots of Prizes! - Check Them out!

Can we please have a “Chicken Pumpkin Carving Contest”? Mine love carving their pumpkins. They usually even stay “between the lines” for a few hours. After that they start eating all over the place. :lau

So sorry for your losses and that you are having to deal with all this. Thankful that you were not hurt, and sounds like it could have been much worse.
