Tried that. Tried corn, mealworms, duck food. They just swim back in the water.

Ok, I have another problem with my ducks. They won’t go into their duck house! I can’t get them off the water. The house is not right on the water but maybe 300 yards away. We have predators and I have lost ducks before. Please send suggestions 😳. Thanks

Ok, thanks. No I agree with you. The last thing I want to do is to kill any of the ducklings, we have waited a long time for Elsa to hatch out babies.

    Duck eggs

Morning, I candled Elsa’s eggs yesterday and all 6 of them have a little duckling growing! I did notice that her eggs are a little behind the eggs that I have in the incubator. So d I add mine to her nest? Maybe one at a time?

    Love my feathered friends

Hello everyone. I finally had some questions that I couldn’t find answers to so I decided to join the talk. And I love it. I have received so much help and advice concerning my ducks that I already have a solution. Thanks for accepting me and I look forward to talking with everyone. ❤️

    Duck eggs

You know I just might have to try checking the eggs tomorrow night. When would you suggest for me to put the eggs from the incubator in her nest?

    Duck eggs

She laid 11 eggs, I took 6 for the incubator because I wanted to hatch at least some from her this time since none hatched last time. I put those 6 in Jul 27th, and Elsa started sitting august 1st. What do you think?

    Duck eggs

She started on August 1st. Stays on the eggs all day and night, only leaves for 5-10 minutes. I would love to candle her eggs when she leaves the nest, I just have to be ready to do it.

    Candling Eggs

Sorry, trying to find your first post so that I can look again. But I believe that the egg that is clearer than the others did even start. Does that help?

How long will a Muscovy wait for eggs to hatch?

I had a Muscovy hen sit on her first batch for over 45 days, I finally had to remove her eggs. They had all died a long time ago.

My eggs started about 3 days before Elsa fully committed to her eggs.

    Candling Eggs

I would go out on a limb and say that the eggs are no good. I didn’t see any veins and though it did look like an embryo had started in at least two of the eggs they don’t look like they are growing any longer.

Wow, kinda hard to tell. How old are the eggs?
