Moving my girls outside - Boise, Idaho - Ladder and Roost questions

Thank you all for your advice! They're in the coop, my mom is visiting them. So far they've only ventured out the door once on their own, but it's looking wonderful! Thanks for your help

Moving my girls outside - Boise, Idaho - Ladder and Roost questions

We had the greatest hits CD when I was growing up, and we all need a little bit of Heart and Soul! Their baby pics, and my most recent pic of T'Pau on her own. She's an EE and has cheeks for days.

Moving my girls outside - Boise, Idaho - Ladder and Roost questions

Thanks for all your advice! They spent a first night very happily in their coop, and I'm going to set up a mirror and some other toys for them to play with while I'm gone. (Bangle has already discovered the roost, and Blondie, Jett, and Go-Go are looking around. Heart and T'Pau are off screen.)

The door is hip height on me, so about 3 feet up. I could tack on a platform there and then set up a chair so they could hop and hop.

It would definitely be a downsize in room for them, they're currently in an 8x4, and the coop is just 5x4. But they're you g and all get along well, so it would probably be ok.

Moving my girls outside - Boise, Idaho - Ladder and Roost questions

Hello everyone! We get to go down on a road trip to see family for a late Seder, and while I'm very excited to see family (some of whom are getting very up there in years, and haven't met their great-grandson in person yet), I am worried about leaving my girls. (I'm a first time chicken-haver...

    Beginner Questions

Hello, I am brand new and raising my first mixed flock. I'm wondering about how to tell two near-identical birds apart. Thanks in advance. Leg bands, pecking, safety. Being new, what I ordered from the local hatchery was one Buff Orpington, one Barred Rock, one Welsummer, and two Easter...

    Who likes to roleplay?

I'm interested, especially if it's a relatively new start. Seems like some of them have pretty long histories to catch up on!

    Who likes to roleplay?

My werewolves are WtF, my Vamps are VtM. I run an unholy melange of soft goth nonsense.

    Who likes to roleplay?

Yep. Hard same. Been running the same Werewolf: the Forsaken game for the same five women for almost three years now.

    Who likes to roleplay?

Sorry! Table top role play gamer means sitting down with dice and friends around a table to play a game. Dungeons and Dragons is the most well known one, Pathfinder is a similar fantasy adventure setting, and the White Wolf games are usually playing as vampires, werewolves, etc in a modern setting.

    Any Jewish Poultry Keepers?

Shalom, all! I'm a Jew (surprise surprise, just look at my name) and keeping my first ever chickens in suburban Boise, ID. My family keeps kosher ovo-lacto-pescetarian for ease of cooking (finding kosher meat isn't easy here, and two sets of dishes takes too many of my mental health spoons.)...

    Who likes to roleplay?

Hi! I'm an experienced TTRPGer (D&D, Pathfinder, and pretty much anything White Wolf)and have tried to do some online forum based ones as well. I'm very interested in the idea, not sure what it would look like on a chicken forum, though. Is it making a feathersona to rp?
