Question: Ultrasonic Pest Repeller on Ducks...

I've been catching rats and mice (in addition to sparrows and chipmunks) in the duck run for such a long time. Recently, I've come across a device claiming effectiveness against insects, arachnids and small rodents. It is called "Ultrasonic Pest Repeller". I was wondering if this device would at...

    Requesting Breed Identification

Oh goodness... This flock is so out of balance. I guess I could hatch some more ducklings to make up the difference.

    Requesting Breed Identification

Thank you so much for resolving this itch in my back! Is the proper ratio 1:1 for male-females? Perhaps I should cull two of the males, then?

flame livestock market in Littleton, MA, anyone heard of it?

I noticed this thread is from 2013. Does Mr. Doherty still take chickens? We have a couple of Bantams that have started crowing only recently. Neighbors complain, so we really do need to rid ourselves of them.

Our Newly Born Chick is Missing a Beak

Hi Guys, One of our newly hatched chicks arrived in this world without its upper beak. I found an article written in 1982 reporting this phenomenon in the Oxford Journal Database. It's said that the disease has been determined to be autosomal recessive. I guess this calls for a stop to...

    Let's talk Wry Neck/Crook Neck

We have one exactly like that! It seems to always get really nervous when we approach that it starts spinning with its neck crooked. Now it's almost mature and can eat one its own. I feed my chickens in their run every morning. When I step into their coop, the crooked one would spin like crazy...
