Okay now her poop is like this 🥲
i did see anything like this in her coop over the last few days.
Im so stressed 😫
Her first molt was just as bad as this one. Im really hoping its not this bad evertime.
Her neck wound and the wounds on the other side of her body
I am assuming it was my neighbors 3 legged dog who has already killed chickena from the back farm. we dont have too many strays where im from but we do have other wild life.
Thanks everyone. She is going through a hard molt. Thats why so many pin feathers. She is literally covered in them i feel terrible for having to even handle her right now. I found more wounds on her side. Looks more like a dog bite from the spacing of them. Her vent was also ripped at one side...
Hi found one of my girls this morning out of her coop, she was clearly attacked while I was not home. 🥲 Im wondering what is best to treat these wounds with. I have already cleaned out with wound flush ans she had a soak in epsom salt. She also has a large gash on her neck. I couldn't get a photo.
Ive been putting the neosporin in. Its improving for sure. I will try some tuna and eggs today. She did eat a bit yesterday after her meds. Shes a fighter. Im also am a little worried she might have leg mites. My other d'uccle's feet do not look like this. (They are wet because she had some poop...
I just took in a bantam hen. The post stated she thought she had Wry Neck. When I got there its actually seems to be an eye issue. Her eye had a huge glob of gunk in it.
I cleaned out the gunk in it. It was black, not yellow so not sure if its an infection or if this could be just an injury, I...
They are about 4 months old, they are not laying yet. They seem to be eating (but i dont feel like its enough compared to my other birds, maybe they dont like the pellets) and def drinking like normal. I may worm them anyway, my big chickens had a few sus poops i noticed and havent been wormed...
I recently brought home 2 girls from my dads house. They quarantined and then went into a crate in the run so my flock will get used to them.
yesterday was hot....close to 90, and will be for 4 more days.
I let the flock out to free range and locked the girls in the run so they could explore...
They have both at Jedds but wont be in until 31st. I have people amoxicillin. Can i use that? If so how much..
Edit: found info on another post and have dosed her accordingly.
I felt it yesterday afternoon. Before they free ranged, its normally full.. i held off on the sunflower seeds today.
Unfortunately i do not have antibiotics on hand and cant buy them in store without an RX but i can order on amazon i beleive.
What kind would be recommended?
