    well we ended up with 5 hatched eggs and 4 chicks from the first hatch and then we moved the eggs under another broody hen in another house and she hatched out 3. So I think that is a good amount to have.

    hi all. So I've briefly read the rooster to hen ratio should be 1:10. Well I have 3 roosters (less than a year old) to 6 hens (4 of which are less than a year old, the other 2 are two years old) So what techniques should I try to mitigate overbreeding and aggressive behavior before it occurs?
