Was having such a nice bonding moment with everyone behaving so well when all these kids collectively decided to try to rip off my fingers and then run behind my chair, scare my adult duck who was sitting by me, and then jump in their water and splash both of us
Currently our welsh harlequin is still only a little under 3 weeks old, so we don't know how she'll be when she's older.
Right now, though, she's our sweetest duck! She jumps up to sit on my leg when I come over to their brooder and was the first to eat out of my hand. Unfortunately that also...
She's not entirely white like some leucistic mallards, but she's definitely much lighter than the rest of her family was (minus her aunt who looked nearly exactly like her but was a tad darker)
I know vaccinating ducks isn't really "required" usually for backyard flocks but I'm going to be moving to Europe in the next 2/3 years and while I know they require imported birds to have vaccines, I cant find solid information on which specific vaccines they're going to need or any other...
