I am married and 54. I have been married for 12 yrs. and met my hubby on World of Warcraft which I have played for since the beginning. Yes, I'm a wow geek gaming nerd. I am good with computers. I love nature and animals. I have always rescued, rehabilitated and volunteered for animals. I even had my own aviary for wild birds for rescue and rehab for awhile with East Valley WildLife and Game and Fish.
I am older now and have many ailments but I don't let that slow me down because I have 4 wonderful kids and 4 beautiful granddaughters and 3 grandsons! I do however have scoliosis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid, diabetes, arthritis, stenosis/, spondylosis, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, degenerative disc disease in neck and lower back, IBS-C and D, about 15+ gastric ulcers (the drs. lost count) and a few other things. I have memory deficit and am on 16 medications, so if I can't remember something please excuse me, but my chicks and 4 dogs and wonderful husband get me through it all. Some days I can't walk very well and need help or stay in bed.
All that aside I have 9 Easter Eggers, 6 Anconas, 1 cuckoo maran rooster, 1 sapphire gem, 1 lavender orpington, 1 cinnamon queen, 1 speckled sussex, 4 Silkies and a golden wyandotte that have some beautiful colors. I have named them all, and am training them. They are still getting used to me but a couple I can hold. Most are skittish and some like to walk under my legs and peck at my shoes. I love them so much sometimes I lay down next to their cage when I don't feel well.
I live in North Carolina but I'm an Arizona girl however I was raised in Minnesota when I was younger and stayed on a farm. My first boyfriend had chickens and livestock so I'm familiar with them. I have loved birds all my life and volunteer with east valley wildlife in Arizona rehabilitating wild birds. I also volunteered in NC at the humane society . I love animals and nature and natural remedies. I use homeopathy, aromatherapy, herbalism and oil essences first. I don't believe in trapping and harming (only for food) animals there are more natural ways to take care of things.
Sorry to ramble that's just me
