All you need is a pickup truck. Put the panels in and bend them up just like the hoop coop (upside down u), close the tailgate and they will stay put for the trip. Just be careful when you open the tailgate to unload them as they will spring out if you are not putting pressure against them...

I use round wooden closet rods inside the coop, 2 inch diameter. Unfortunately I bought and installed the closet rods before I realized I could do free roosts with branches! I set up branches outside in the pen area that are 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 inch diameter. Even though they have been free ranging...

    Murry McMurry Hatchery?

Got 30 chicks plus my mystery chick June 2012. Very happy with them, all were healthy and have done great. I bought Barred Rocks and Black Australorps, straight run. Ended up with 50/50 hen to rooster ratio in the end. The mystery chick was a dark brahma rooster. He is the one rooster we...

Free to a good home - Ohio

I would be happy to take them all. I have 15 hens (barred rock and black australorp) and 1 roo so yours would fit right in with the group. We have been talking about getting ducks for the pond so it would work out well all the way around. I have 20 acres for them to play on. Logistics will...

    Move 'em out! :0)

Mine look to be about the same age. We started taking them out last week during the day and giving them the run of a 10 x 10 chain link dog pen and took them back in at night. They loved it so much I converted the dog house to a temporary chicken coop so they could stay out at night. We...
