I can garuntee the deaths are NOT from the temperature in the brooder or I would have had deaths a long time ago I’ve had over 200 chicks go through this brooder and the one in the barn and have never had a single death these deaths where obviously from something else a disease or weak genes...
Also the baby chick with the compound fracture was hatched under a hen and the hen pecked the chicks leg and broke it it was her first time hatching eggs

I put the thermometer under the brooder lamp i didn’t even let it get up to temperature before I touch the thermometer and it was hot to the touch so I moved the lamp up . I know this may have been the problem but I am just saying that that is how I had the brooder set up everytime and they have...

No stress that’s what I mean nothing has changed and nothing could go wrong ! Two of them that died where from the brooder in the barn there may have been some wet food underneath the hay could they have gotten to some that had gone moldy and would that kill them? I did a search for moldy food...

3 one week old chicks died today no explanation one more acting lethargic what could cause this ? They are hatched from my eggs that I use everytime and never had a problem now all of a sudden these chicks are dead ??? I super cleaned the nursery room and brooder thinking maybe bacteria ....
