    Let's be friends!

    Alot of times if you teach a dog how to be gentle with a baby,you then use the same thing with a chicken or chicks and you would be surprised at their gentleness!! I have 3 dogs and 3 cats (2 that love to catch birds ) but they don't bother the "babies".

    You have my pity...Its so hard when you become attached to pets and have to do that.Do you have a guy who can help you out? My brother had to do mine (he raises chickens..like thousands...)my husband couldn't do it.You can just ring their necks or do it over the edge of a bucket. I know it all...

    Well we will keep our fingers crossed for you! My dh wasn't to keen on the idea until I ordered the chicks and he watched them grow! And then he started expanding to our coops and then the second batch of chicks was ordered! Good Luck

    I know when I ordered my first batch of chickens I called the post office to see if I should notify them and she told me that a lot of people do not call in advance to give them their names and phone number,and they have a hard time tracking people down.They usually call a little after 6:30...

    Yes you can freeze the jars. Last week we made some as well and I didn't have any extra new flats so we put it in jars and just froze it! We used some good old Pennsylvania apples,made great applesauce and applebutter! ~~Vikki~~
