To me the edge of Northern California starts as you climb north on 101 from Ukiah. The road narrows,hills turn into mountains and the trees take over. We live in Crescent City which is 30 minutes from the Oregon Coast; north of the mighty Klamath River and south of the wild SmithRiver- Vina
