    Broken beak help

Noticed one of our chickens lost the tip of her beak, and the side appears to be splitting. She is about 14 weeks. First time chicken owner. Any tips on how to best help her heal?

    Are these welsummers?

Yeah, I learned Americanas are a bit of a scam after getting her. I thought I was getting an Ameraucana. Ended up with an "Americana" which is basically an easter egger that some hatchery decided to give a designer name to sell more due to the confusion. Worked on me. When I bought her, I...

    Are these welsummers?

    Are these welsummers?

Bought a couple of welsummers for my first flock from IFA back on Friday February 14th. The chicks are about 9 weeks now. The pullets are not looking like how I expected them to look, but I am new to chicken breeds. Can anyone confirm if these two are welsummers? If not, what breed they might...

Any chance this barred rock will turn into a hen?

I suspected male. His comb is much redder than everyone else's. It is what it is. Time to try to find another home for the fella, he's one of the sweetest in the group.

Any chance this barred rock will turn into a hen?

I have a light feathered, large combed 5 week old chick. Hoping for a pullet, but I can't tell his/her gender for sure. Im not experienced in gendering as this is our first round. S/he is the only barred rock in the flock making it even harder to compare with the others.
