Im a homeschool momma. We raise chicken and ducks as part of our homeschool learning. We started with 12 chicks, kept 4 and gave 8 to my in laws. Once those were laying we got another 12, lost 2, kept 2, and gave 8 to my in laws again. At that time we also began raising ducks. We are now in the incubation stage of our journey! Started with 11 eggs, have since lost 3 of those, 2 who may not have been fertilized in the first place. Next step in our journey will be plumping up any roosters we hatch and learning to cull and process them.
