    Does anyone use Worminator?

Do you have a better recommendation for a wormer which kills all but tapeworms? Are you by chance indicating that Twin City /or whatever that name is/ is merely a backyard gamefowl staker, and that one should question whether the product consists of multiple ingredients?

    The Legbar Thread!

I hope to come across those whose CLBs lay bluer eggs than clean Americanunas. Because I'm quite dissatisfied with the clarity and intensity of my 3 lines of CLBs, and am struggling to distinguish subtle differences to concentrate on breeding it up.

Amazing! Of all I've read about this, I've never encountered that fact before.

    The Legbar Thread!

Yes, thank you everyone! Now, how do we pump up the blue color in the Legbar egg. And, if one could, considering it's a result of an organ secretion, would more of that secretion be good for the fowl, and, would even more secretion make the egg bluer instead of another tone?

    The Legbar Thread!

Since the blue eggs distinguishes the CLB as much as any other feature, wouldn't it be a healthier breed if the silver and gold were crossed from time to time, as long as the gold did not feature tinted eggs?

    The Legbar Thread!

My use of the term creaming was casually of double reference. One to the lightening/-silvering?- of the former gold coloring, along with the intensity of blue egg that should accompany the suppression of brown/gold associated with brown egg laying breeds. Some say these "other" Legbar versions...

    The Legbar Thread!

Well, the barred rock in the lineage of the Legbar lays brown eggs. If one wanted to produce a blue egg laying breed, why would they cross the blue egg gene with a brown egg gene bird? That cross could only compromise the quality and consistency of blue eggs laid. Even if the specimen and it's...

    The Legbar Thread!

Particularly since it's a brown egg layer!? Perhaps it was to bulk up the breed, and make them more winter hardy?

    The Legbar Thread!

What do you suppose the value or benefit of creaming, or silvering, the gold CLB was and is? Particularly if the earlier CLB was laying the size and color of blue egg desired. Not having researched the details of it's genesis, I'd surmise that the earlier eggs was too olive. But, rather than...

    The Legbar Thread!

Hello, If I may chime in, "The stance in this picture means male," and as I'm unfamiliar with this sexing method, are you indicating that the very upright and chest thrusting stance indicates a male chick, please? Lee
