My name is Vaughn and I am 75 years old and grew up with chickens and I have had chickens off and on
but went without them for 28 years. Having 10 acres of my Dad’s farm and being through with traveling
and all my good fishing places gone and I like it here at home it was time for more chickens and I have had them for about 4 years now and maintain a flock of more than 100. After 28 years I was really surprised how fragile the breeds have become with all the genetic defects. In the last 4 years I have seen crooked jaws, crooked legs, crooked toes, odd growing wing feathers and chickens 1 and 2 years old dying of gizzard failure. I hope other folks are having better luck than me.
