I have an 8" greenhouse exhaust fan near the top that runs all the time all year around and takes the moisture out and leave the window cracked open in winter.
I raise my chickens, pheasants and ducks/geese together. They have separate houses and in the coop and covered run I use a chicken fountain (nipple waterer). The only open water is in buckets in the free range areas. All 60 chickens/roos 6 pheasants, 12 ducks and 4 geese all get along fine...

I live in the city (New Britain, CT) and have had roos for 25 years. I just make sure to close the door to the hen house at night and open it up no earlier than 7 am. Here we are not suppose to make excessive noise before 7am or after 11pm, like cutting the grass ect.
