Joining BYC is my Christmas present to myself. Chickens make me smile and I love to learn, so I have wanted to join ever since my daughter joined a year and a half ago. I have been a member vicariously through her. She would post and receive replies and then tell me all about her conversations.
I was born in Chicago, a city girl gone country. I now live in the Hill country in Texas on 6 acres. When we started looking to move from city into the country, one of the non-negotiables was that there be no rules prohibiting chickens. I wanted to try raising chickens and so I have, and I love it.
