    I picked out the wrong coop and now I have no plan :-(

    nesting and roosting can be tricky sometimes especially when space is limited, best bet is to just go with one or the other, i am going with nesting box and adding a few roosting boards in the main run since my space too is limited, best of luck

    Not been on for a few but if anyone is following along its now evening of day 16 candles 12 eggs and 3 appeared to be Infertile I been turning them 5 times per day with keeping temperature at 100.2F and humidity at 49%

    Have you tried adding a wet sponge or a plastic cup with paper towels that are wet, it works for me

    I know in the country chicken maths not a big deal compared to if you live in the city where limitations are placed on bird owners but for city folk I was wondering is it hard to not go over the limits and if so how do you manage to keep neighbors happy

    Yeah true ah the Java and langshans are pretty good breeds if one can find them too, I love the dual purpose birds though

    Very true it does help I used to do this with my cochins also some breeders collect rooster sperm and inject their hens

    Yeah the buckeyes are really good birds they at one time almost went extinct,I love the history of the breed
