Thank you for the empathy! 🤗 I don’t wash her anymore, as I found doing it or not doing it made no difference. Whenever the scab is removed, it bleeds. (The vet made it bleed of course).

She is on amoxicillin twice a day for 7 days now. I really hope this changes something.

I contacted the vet, waiting to hear back. I need him to prescribe the antibiotics. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I just wanted to update on my scabby vent hen. I carefully soaked it daily until the end of December. The scab would come off after a few days, with yellow ooze under it, and the a new one would form. I stopped soaking it and just checked her once a week. It seems to be doing the same thing...
