I don’t wash her anymore, as I found doing it or not doing it made no difference.
Whenever the scab is removed, it bleeds. (The vet made it bleed of course).
We finished the antibiotics a week ago. There is no significant change to her vent. It does look a bit better, but there is still a small area with that scabbing ooze.
Because she is otherwise doing well, I will just let her be now. Hoping it will slowly go away with time.

I just wanted to update on my scabby vent hen.
I carefully soaked it daily until the end of December. The scab would come off after a few days, with yellow ooze under it, and the a new one would form.
I stopped soaking it and just checked her once a week. It seems to be doing the same thing...
