    Keets Love Millett ?

    Mine missed that part of their education. For 3 weeks now, i offer them millett every evening, presented in a small cardboard bowl, that I rattle / shake/ roll (sorry, couldn't resist), and call out 'treat, treat,treat' place the bowl in their coop and go away. They never bother it...

    I have stacked straw bales inside the coop all around the perimeter...this should keep the keets away from the edges and make it too long of a stretch for predators. Thanks for the advice, will bait the trap with fowl tonite.

    JLeigh, did you trap the racoon or use other methods ? I lost 7, 6 week old Keets last week, and I blame a racoon, haven't sighted one but the keets were bedding down right beside the fence in their coop, and the heads were pulled thru and destroyed.... I have set a trap, but noone is...

    NO Oyster shell ? Just purchased a 50 lb bag....chicks and 8 week old keets are together, I guess I could feed it to the chicks if I am able to ever separate them.

    Wheat Bran vs Oats

    What is the advantage of wheat bran ? it is far more expensive than Oats ? My worms should arrive wed/thur and I want too start right.

    Peeps, thanks for your interest and help....When flexing the leg, I cannot feel any tendon movement at all. Should I still apply the tape ? The keets have been on Game Starter Feed from day one.

    I am trying to attach a picture showing the malformed hock....doesn't feel like any tendon problem, but I honestly do not know....this is my first experience with guinea keets.
