    Did you check again with county or let it go... May want to just let it go... I just registered my flock with the state since we may get enough to sell some eggs and make some cash for my daughter - she is a natural salesperson!

    Harford county - I have about twenty with one rooster bought online in sept. I built a coop from recycled pallets. I have had chicks before but about half this number. I have 2+ acres, rural residential zoned. No HOA. No sure if Harco has number or rooster rules can't find on county web...

    I once had a run I thought was secure - there was one 3-4 inch gap in wire (must have been cut by weeding and sure enough something pushed thru and took a few hens! Never know.

    Last fall I built this coop from mostly pallets and recycled wood and some culled lumber (cheap) and $1 paint from Home Depot. Still need to add some windows. not pretty, tied it into corner of horse fence, door access in back
