    Pearl Star Leghorns

They might start laying again when the little ones do. I have a four year old chicken that hardly lays , a four year old that lays 2-3 x week but the 2 and 3 year olds lay pretty consistent. Don’t give up. Maybe they have a secret nest somewhere??

    How many eggs!?

Chickens can lay one egg every 24 hours or so. Buffs like to lay on others’ eggs. If her neck feather raise up and she growls a little then she is broody! You don’t want a broody hen unless you have a rooster and want to raise chicks. Let me know if this helps.

    Pearl Star Leghorns

These are the absolute best chickens. We handled ours a lot from the beginning. They are personable , curious, active, very entertaining- they fly like little partridge! There eggs are very very very light brown (creamy white ) and delicious!! Started laying about 19-20 weeks. Good luck!!!

    Pearl Star Leghorns

I bought this breed from tractor supply this year. They are around 19 weeks old now. They are a curious and friendly bird. They love following you around and stand up quite well to the older birds in the flock - of course there is some pecking going on. Not laying yet, but one squatted the...
