Boy are chickens smart! We took our beautiful white silkie roo to Herriman yesterday and when I went into the run this morning, all of the girls were huddled in the corner clucking and totally wouldn't move. Thanks for all of the support. Now I just have to keep my son convinced it is a roo. He read somewhere about hens "crowing" and now he wants to be convinced that he may be a she!- wgidir

So since I am new to this and have only gone on what IFA told me about roosters, I have to find a home for my silkie roo. Yes - especially because he is my avatar picture-sweet thing. I don't think the neighbors whose bedroom window is about 8 feet from the coop is going to like him being their alarm. I am even willing to drive him to whoever can use him.- wgidir

I got a shock yesterday morning when I returned from Lake Tahoe. At 6:30am I heard the distictive sounds of crowing coming from my coop.
