    Moving our coop.... what did we do wrong.

    If you only need to move it ocassionaly get a few pieces of pipe, pvc will work. Lift one end and place the pipe under the coop. Push the coop and add another piece under the front. As it rolls remove the pipe at the rear and add it to the front. We moved a 12x24 building about 100 yards and...

    Fire Ants

    My hens were merrily munching on some red ants/ fire ants yeasterday. They don't seem to do so all the time but on occasion I see them picking through the ant piles. Not sure if it is good or bad for them but I figure they know more than me.

    old metal shed

    I just converted an 8x10 metal shed. Bought it at home depot a few years agofor about $200. I framed a wire door inside the sliding double doors and leave them open, thus having a 5x6 window. I cut some ventilation grills into the walls and cut a 3x4 window into one wall. I still have to paint...
