    Thanks for your help! I agree about the green compost. However I have one question. What if I have the chickens in the garden eating and therefore pooping while the garden is in season. Will their poop transfer salmonella to the plants since they won’t have time to be composted?

    Thanks that answers my leak question! I am definitely a DIYer!:D @PopoMyers I saw you have 4 nipples for 12 chickens. That's a 1 to 3 ratio. Is that set in stone or can I make the ratio of nipples to chickens whatever I want?

    Thanks! They seem to be easier to install over the cups. However, I did see this thing were they are notorious for leaking. Is this true? If so what did you do to remedy it? Also how many nipples do you use per bird? Is there a set rule or ratio to follow?
