Good idea sdm111. Your exactly right about them being someone elses problem. We live in the country and city folk seem to like dropping off dogs out here, they go wild, and start killing goats, sheep, chickens, you name it. Its more humane to just do away with the problem right up front
Get you a 22 rifle, And practice shooting. Almost everything kills chickens. I caught a small chichua dog killing one just the other day. The way i look at it, my chickens are in my yard, and if somethings gonna come on my land and kill my chickens, well thats just a bad deal for them. Good luck...

I can't use it when it's freezing, so I can ONLY use it about 350 days of the year. It don't stay cold very long at all here. Now you definitely can use a aquarium heater, AND wrap your hose or pipes if you need to.
