    Also you can check the wings. Even feathers means pullet. I know this for a fact because my chicken hatched a baby chick last summer and when it was 6 weeks old I checked the wings. His feathers was uneven.

    During the summer I put either watermelon or cantaloupe with the rind facing up in a gold metal basket. (it used to be a houseplant holder) They go crazy and will peck until there is nothing left.

    Plants ducks and geese don't touch.

    My ducks love everything that I have given them except for mint leaves. Their absolute favorite treats are grapes, strawberries and dandelions.

    Hello everyone. I have been raising chickens for about 3 years now. There are 6 chickens in my flock. I also own 2 ducks. Three buff orpingtons, black sex link, barred rock and a cross breed rooster. I enjoy taking care of my kids.
