    what did you do, to facilitate her recovery?. I have one, doing the same thing--a silkie also. the others, in the coop, are fine.

    I have one that is having trouble walking, on one of her legs. and she doesn't roost, just stays below. I checked her leg, and it's not broken, or dislocated. it looks and feels fine, but she won't put an weight on it. I move her out of the coop, nto the run in the am, and back into the coop...

    mix 2day old keets with 2 week old keets

    the boys do this already. I think they are trying to be helpful, but they step on them, knocking them for a loop. then they roll, and get up. not always a good scenario, but they are staying close to her. she has them all out eating, in the tall grass(hay field), close to the coop.
